A few new reads to recommend… (you know, for in your free time).

Thoreau’s Birthday (and getting calm).

The Way of the Peaceful Parent.

The Flight of the Hummingbird.

And this: my community is under a boil order + drought. We’re under them, that’s right. Appreciate for fresh water is my intention today. Gratitude for what we take for granted, I suppose, may help us feel the cool, wet freshness we need.

“Can you see the holiness in those things you take for granted–a paved road or a washing machine? If you concentrate on finding what is good in every situation, you will discover that your life will suddenly be filled with gratitude, a feeling that nurtures the soul.”
